"The Lord confirmed to us the direction the He has been leading us. We couldn't figure out what to call this new ministry. After the seminar, we heard the name "Equipping Hearts for the Harvest". That is going to be the name and focus of the ministry. The seminar helped clarify the birth of this vision."

Prophetic Words for December, 2005

Dec 17, 2005

Most all of us have read or heard the story of the prodigal son in scripture. I would like to point out a prophetic look into those
scriptures. I have found that things may not be as they seem.

The well known story starts out saying a man had two sons. One used his father's blessings or finances to leave his father and his house; to go and do the things he wanted to do. Things didn't go to well after he ran out of money. Scripture says that when he came to himself; he thought in his heart"I will return to my father"... It has to be better than this poor life I am living now. So he arose and began his journey back homeward to go repent and confess his sins to his father.

Scritpure says that he began to run back to his father, and when the father saw him -- then he (the father) ran out to meet him, love him and welcome him home.
The young man repented to his father for his wrong doings, and the father told his servants to go and prepare a feast - that they may have a party because his son was back home safe.

The servents done so - but there was a brother in the field and when he began to hear the sounds of the party; he began to question what was going on. When he was told what was going on - he got angry and jealous etc...

He began complaining about all the things his father has done for his brother. Then, the father went outside where his other son was at and told him. - "You have been with me this whole time. Everything I have is yours, but your brother was dead and lost and now he is alive and found".

The father asked his other son to come in and join them in celebrating the return of his brother, and the scriptures end right there!

Some prophetic points to this are:

*The son took his father's blessings to finance his journey away from his father and his house.

*The son wasn't home yet - it was when the father saw the son coming home - is when he arose and went out to greet him.

*The other brother was angry and jealous, and the father came out from the party to talk to him and asked him to come in and celebrate. The scripture ends there.

We are not told if the brother ever came in and joined the party or not! That is prophetically where many in the body of Christ is right now. Many are that other brother, that the father has asked to come in and celebrate the return of our brother that was lost.

The choice is yours -- do you stay outside and pout, or do you go inside and love our brother that once was lost and done sinfull things? The father invited his son to come in and love, forgive and celebrate the return of his brother, then he went back in leaving the other brother outside to make his decision.

At the end of the story - what we always thought to be the prodigal is inside the hosue with the father being forgiven, loved, and celebrated for his return. The other son was complaining and pouting - and is left standing outside to
make a decision to enter in the house.

I think the prodigal son is not the one that returned, but rather the one that is still standing outside complaining and pouting - not yet accepting his father's invitation to enter in the house of forgiveness, love and compassion!

Are you still standing outside - or have you accepted the father's invitation to enter in? The father went back in and shut the door - but it is not locked. You can open and enter in. Just use the key of forgiveness....

Still Worshiping,
