"True Prophets See With Rhema Eyes"
-A Prophetic Perspective by Brenda McDonald
To be prophetic, that is to walk closely to the Lord and listen to His
voice; we must live in a different realm.
We must see each other not just as we are, but as we are called to be. We
Once again, to see those things that are naught as though they are and
prophesy the reality of God's purpose and future plan.
"The dry bones test (Ezek.37) is a reminder to us. What do we see in the
dry bones? Do we see with our fleshly eyes or the eyes of the Spirit? The
true prophet will see with "Rhema" eyes, God's eyes, eyes of love and
compassion.
To become closer to the Lord, I often imagine myself as I really am, and
where I am really seated, with Christ at the right hand of the Father. When
I go there, I am able to see with the eyes of heaven from a different
perspective. For some, this will definitely be a stretch of your faith.
For me, this is the only place I can go and know I can trust the revelation
received. I want to speak only "Daddy's" voice and not my own. Remember
God's great grace on His children, He wants us to "know" His voice.
I would offer this if you are truly hungry for His revelation for yourself
and others. Pray often , our spirit becomes sensitive after we pray. God
uses our circumstances to speak to us. The Holy Spirit will give us"Knowings." We will have an inner witness that it is true. If it becomes
stronger and stronger and won't go away we need to respond to it. That
response may be intercession, it may mean to just call your brother, it may
mean to give that man a few dollars for a warm lunch from Jesus.
You see
how the Holy Spirit operates in our lives. He is constantly giving us
opportunities to serve the Lord. We often do not get the whole message, but
we get our part, and we must respond in obedience. Obedience is rewarded
with more. More revelation, more love for one another, more edification,
more power to do those things that are naught as if they were and they shall
come to pass.
Do not be afraid to seek Him in this. It is Kingly to seek a matter. Constantly be before His Throne of Grace for inspiration. Once you hear
from the Lord, take your position of authority and claim it for yourself and
others.
"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so!" Know who your God is! "Therefore my
people shall know what my name
is and what it means; therefore they shall know in that day that I am He
who speaks; behold I AM!" (Isaiah 52;6)
